We are loving this year’s NYC funk fashion, particularly after fashion week. If you haven’t seen it yet check out our NYC Funk Fashion video.

I love NYC, who doesn’t. There is something inspiring around every corner and the fashion reflects the rebellious side of New York. Take a leaf from the Central Park book and add a little attitude to your wardrobe this season with inspiration from the greats of the 70’s when NYC was alive and booming with rebellious artists, musicians and everything in between.Fashion week brought a few additional trends to the table this season. Tommy Hilfiger made a statement with the Hadid sisters featuring a cute crop that has been seen on Gigi Hadid a lot recently.

Crops are everywhere this season and if you have been working out through the summer it is the perfect time to pull out a cute crop. Bold and single colours are hot but we are also seeing a lot in velvet texture which are super cute, like this Revolve velvet crop.

Personally I love the boyfriend look, it’s comfortable but the simplistic nature tends to draw out a natural look. The overall oversized look is super cute and great for a weekend brunch or Sunday movie. Simplistic fashion is in this season. Pair with a bold red lip and minimal eye makeup, just a flick of mascara should do the trick.

70’s patterns

New York, New York fashion has always had a bit of a 70’s flair and this season bold 70’s inspired prints are back. Go for metalics and all over prints. We love this glam look from Rachel Zoe!

Ok, so now that you have a few new funk pieces check out our 3 favourite boots for the fall.
